When looking for a font to use with my trailer, film poster and film magazine cover featuring my film I looked through hundreds of different fonts, already installed onto the computer and online. I was looking for something serious, strong, but with a light hearted side to it and to be ‘fun’, comic sans was a possibility because it is sensible, easily readably, thin, and also had the fun side but the font was sans and I fancied a serif font. I eventually came across the font Monaco which looked perfect and matched all the criteria that I required for my font.
This font is called Infected and is downloaded from Dafont.com. It is a bold powerful font and has a strong imapact. It would be a good font for a magazine about rock music because of the thick lines and jaged edges, but for a film magazine i feel that it is inappropriate for a film magazine as i feel that it needs to be a more sophisticated font
